Haven't read further than the new no-schedule schedule. I say Two Thumbs Up!! Surprise me, surprise yourselves, write whatever whenever; that works for me.
You can also count me as a supporter of the experimental schedule. Intermittent rewards are the best, and I’ve enjoyed coming along for the journey of this newsletter over the past couple of years. 👍
I'd like to know how Donald Hoffman's theory compares to Rupert Spira's description of nondual consciousness in this SAND presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=WV-naO9ULp8&feature=emb_logo. I wonder if Mr. Hoffman's "emotionally wrenching" implications would change if informed by the idea that the underlying reality is love.
I really enjoyed the Donald Hoffman pieces. Sure brings present what we don't know that we don't know, the knowing of which will make all the difference. I am sure you read The Atlantic article "The 2020 Disinformation War" by McKay Coppins but thought I would mention it for others if they have not read it. I like you being freed up for timely interviews and not chained to a newsletter weekly. Watching particularly John Wayne movies growing up in the 1950s took me decades to get over that image of masculinity that I could not measure up to so movies can be inspiring to be sure and they can do a lot of damage as well. I always enjoy Nikita's newsletter.
Thanks Henry! I loved the Hoffman interviews too. It looks like the next issue of Psychopolitica may be a follow up on his views, which I found strangely relatable.

Thanks! I appreciate the support. Feel free to weigh in again as the experiment proceeds.

Thanks! And thanks for sticking with the newsletter for so long. This is the kind of feedback that keeps me going.

Maybe a Part 3?

Your welcome Nikita. If you have not seen Hoffman's TED talk it is a good one with about 3 million views here: https://www.ted.com/talks/donald_hoffman_do_we_see_reality_as_it_is?language=en#t-665035
You've probably read this - but it is a new rationalist version of Russell's group/tribalism/rationalisty. https://slatestarcodex.com/2014/09/30/i-can-tolerate-anything-except-the-outgroup/
I'll take a look. That's a great blog. Unlike any other that I'm aware of.
